Ruturaj Gaikwad Domestic Career:
Despite that setback, Ruturaj Gaikwad has shown himself on the domestic cricket to get this position. Ruturaj shone again the next Cooch Behar Trophy season, scoring 4 centuries (hundred) & three fifties and totaling 875 in seven matches.
Ruturaj, at 19, made his first-class debut for Maharashtra’s Ranji team in 2016-17. In the match against Jharkhand, his Ranji debut was cut short after he was hit by Varun Aaron’s ball. He had to have surgery, which caused him to miss the Ranji season.
Ruturaj returned to the Vijay Hazare Trophy after an 8-week gap, playing only one match. Ruturaj proved his dedication as ODI opening batter the next season. The batter scored 132 runs on 110 deliveries against Himachal Pradesh, his maiden List A century.
